Taylor and Hunter Sutherland grew up in Central Lake — two Northern Michigan kids who spent their high school and college years working in restaurants around Antrim County. Kitchens, front-of-house, back-of-house — they did all of it, and they liked it.

After years of restaurant work up and down the region, they took a leap and opened Chloe's Chop House in downtown Bellaire, naming the restaurant after Taylor's daughter, Chloe. It became a destination for a good steak and a proper night out.

As the room grew into itself, so did the way people used it. Guests came in for a burger and a beer, for a long dinner with friends, for a nightcap after a day on Torch Lake or the slopes at Shanty Creek. The tavern side of the room was doing more of the work — and it felt right to lean into it.

Chloe's Tavern is that next step. Same family, same kitchen, same commitment to doing the small things well — with a warmer, more relaxed feel that matches how the room already lives. Think burgers, comfort food, and a bigger list of cold beer. And the invitation stays the same: pull up a seat.
