Our Chefs

In the quaint town of Central Lake, two brothers, Taylor and Hunter Sutherland, embarked on their culinary journeys, which would eventually converge into a shared dream. From simple beginnings, cooking meals at home, Hunter's culinary passion ignited early, leading him through a diverse tapestry of kitchen experiences, from Shanty Creek Resorts to the esteemed Weathervane, where he ascended to the role of Executive Chef. His journey, interspersed with ventures into real estate and bartending, is a testament to his versatile talent and unwavering dedication to the culinary arts.

Taylor's path, equally impressive, started with a dishwashing job at the Blue Pelican Inn, fostering a love for the bustling team environment of the culinary world. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he explored various ventures, from wood processing to masonry, yet always found his way back to the kitchen's allure. Ascending to the role of Executive Chef at the Torch Lake Café at a mere 22, Taylor's culinary prowess was undeniable. His subsequent venture, the Corner Bistro, became a testament to his culinary vision and leadership.

The fusion of Hunter and Taylor's distinct journeys culminates at Chloe's Chop House, a fine dining establishment that is not only a celebration of their shared passion for gourmet cuisine but also a tribute to family, with the restaurant being lovingly named after Taylor's daughter, Chloe. At Chloe's Chop House, the brothers' collective experiences, from bustling kitchens to entrepreneurial ventures, converge to create a dining experience that is as rich in flavor as it is in story.
